Hi john — this is Amy Klobuchar.
When my daughter Abigail was born, she couldn't swallow. Not knowing what was wrong was scary. But after 24 hours with no sleep and a sick baby in intensive care, my insurance forced me out of the hospital.
I didn’t want another mom to go through what I experienced and was determined to change the policy. So even though I had never held elected office, I went to the legislature and advocated for one of the first laws in the country guaranteeing new moms and their babies a 48-hour hospital stay.
When we stand up for people and fight for them we have the power to deliver real change. Grassroots supporters like you have helped me do just that in the U.S. Senate — now I’m hoping you’ll stand with me once again as I run for reelection in 2024.
Will you split a donation between myself and Tina now to power my campaign so we can keep on fighting for progress? [[link removed]]

If we want to win the important fights we need to be willing to stand up for what we believe in. From working to lower prescription drug prices for millions of seniors to passing the largest infrastructure investment in decades, I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
But there is so much more that we must do — and I’m running for reelection so we can continue fighting for progress on the most pressing issues facing our country.
Will you split a contribution between myself and Tina today to help power my reelection campaign? Anything you contribute will go a long way toward helping us reach our goal. [[link removed]]
— Amy
