Today's a special day, and it's not just because it's Presidents' Day. Today is Suzan's birthday, John, and we're working to make sure it's her best birthday yet!

As you all know, Suzan has been hard at work in the other Washington fighting to make health care and prescription drugs more affordable, protect our earned benefits, and find real solutions to the climate crisis. To say the least -- this past year really flew by for our team, and we want to make sure she knows how much we appreciate her putting Washington's working families first.

Suzan is a strong, tenacious, and independent leader who cares deeply for the people of our state. I'm not surprised at all that her birthday falls so close to other great leaders' birthdays: George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

No matter what is thrown her way, Suzan always rises to the challenge because she's thinking about you and what's best for our democracy. One of her favorite parts of the job is hearing from supporters just like you. Trust me -- seeing your name on her birthday card will mean so much to Suzan.
