Even as they were busy dismantling core LGBTQ+ rights and affirmative action policies, Justices Thomas, Gorsuch, and Alito all benefited from luxury trips or property sales engineered by people with big stakes in having a far-right Court majority.
It’s corruption, pure and simple.
That’s why People For the American Way is campaigning to establish a binding code of ethics for the Supreme Court. Congress is taking notice— the Senate Judiciary Committee is poised to take action on Senator Whitehouse’s SCOTUS ethics bill and Senator Warren and Representative Jayapal have also introduced a major reform bill as well. Now we need your help to make sure that badly needed Supreme Court ethics legislation becomes the law of the land.

But that’s not all: right-wing lawmakers are also attempting to block President Biden from filling lower court vacancies with fair-minded judicial nominees — in effect preserving the harm that Trump and Mitch McConnell foisted on us by stacking the lower courts - along with the Supreme Court - with extreme-right judges ready to rule in favor of the wealthy and well-connected.

- The confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court;
- Nearly 140 fair-minded judges confirmed to the lower federal courts;
