Your first gift MATCHED to help a survivor rebuild

John,

A decade ago, I lay on a thin mat in a jail cell in Colorado curled up under a scratchy blanket. I tried to block out the relentless fluorescent lights, but they poked through the thin threads.

I had just been arrested for the 11th time that year. I feared my children could lose their only parent. My body and soul were exhausted after years of sex trafficking and related violence.

Now, as a survivor-advocate, I ask you to consider:

WHAT IF you could directly help a trafficking victim reclaim their freedom forever?

WHAT IF you could personally help a survivor get back on their feet in a stable, lasting way — ending a loop of exploitation and suffering?

Now, you can! The new Polaris Resilience Fund offers direct cash assistance to human trafficking survivors for their most urgent needs.

Will you answer the call? Please consider making your first gift to Polaris today.

A survivor’s turning point may depend on your generosity.

I finally found my turning point after that night in Colorado. I’d tried to escape trafficking before. But without support, my traffickers pulled me back in — because I had no way to live without them.

This time, however, would be different. Having recently reconnected with my family, I fled from my traffickers, found affordable housing, and returned to school. I had a real chance to stay free.

In many trafficking narratives, the story ends here. But for most survivors, escaping exploitation is where our story really begins. From the exit, true freedom is an uphill battle.

When we leave our trafficking situations, our vulnerabilities are magnified — but a new life is possible after trafficking, with support and resilience. EVERY survivor deserves the chance to create what I did: a future as a healthy, healing individual who’s thriving in community.

I’m so proud to serve as director of the new Resilience Fund. And I can’t wait to hear from our first group of recipients about how this program is bringing hope and changing lives.

Now, we need your support. Are you with us, as an agent of change?
