I’m reaching out again because this moment demands urgency… the Republican mayor of Stockton just announced that he’s running for my seat!

Kevin McCarthy personally recruited him to run against me and is already helping him raise money to flip this seat red. Now our race is shaping up to be one of the toughest and most expensive races in the country.

If you’ve been a part of my campaign for a while, you know I’ve taken on tough challengers before - and won. First I defeated an extreme Trump-backed opponent, and then two years later you helped me defeat a corrupt County Supervisor who wanted to ban abortion.

But now I’m facing my most serious challenge yet. My new opponent won a surprising victory to become the mayor of the biggest city in our district, and now he has his sights set on Congress. We can’t let him win this seat and give Kevin McCarthy another two years as Speaker of the House.
