It’s a special opportunity to provide even more help to people like Ruby*, who was promised a job and new life after the death of her parents, but was deceived and enslaved in an online sex trafficking operation at just 16 years old. She endured being forced to perform acts in front of web cameras against her will. If she didn't do as she was told, she wouldn't eat. Ruby felt alone and without hope, until IJM learned of her enslavement and sent a team in to rescue her.
After her rescue, Ruby dedicated her life to leading other girls and women trapped in sex trafficking, and is one of our most active survivor leaders. Thanks to supporters of IJM, she is fully restored, living independently with a full-time job and is considering pursuing a law degree.
