Mayor Muri shared the following statement:
"As a 22 year military veteran, I enthusiastically endorse Carmen Goers to be our next member of congress representing Washington's' 8th Congressional District. Carmen shared with me that she and her family moved to Washington State following the completion of their military service. Carmen was not only a military spouse but she also supported our military's families by volunteering throughout the community to help improve our military families lives."
I am deeply grateful to receive Mayor Muri’s endorsement. Mayor Muri’s service to our nation didn’t end with his military career. As a civilian and elected official, he has remained committed to the advocacy of his brothers and sisters in the military.
As a military spouse, service members, their spouses and children became my family. Those bonds strengthened through adversity and time, inspiring me to act as a volunteer for military families when the need arises.
Not only have these experiences enriched my life, they have strengthened a motto that I have learned to live by: “When duty calls…”
The necessity of responding to our patriotic duty now is on par with the era in which this nation was born. Across our state and nation – the very ideals of liberty, morality, and righteousness that help a self-governing people endure – are under attack.
Duty calls! Join me in the fight of defending our freedoms, prosperity and values at this 11th hour in our nation. Can I count on the support of a $25, $50 or $75 contribution so that I succeed in my efforts to serve We The People in Congress?
