Together in electric dreams

A new study has uncovered the cities that have invested the most in Electric Vehicle (EV) infrastructure and Nottingham is ranked in the top three! 🥳

In the city, there are:

🚗166 charging points on the D2N2 network including 41 in the Broad Marsh Car Park, one of the largest installations in the UK

🚗More EV charge points in park and ride sites than anywhere else in the UK

🚗Solar-powered charging stations with battery storage

🚗184 workplace EV charging points.

Plus, did you know that 42% of Nottingham City Council’s own fleet of vehicles is now electric?

First phase of Carlton Road cycle route complete! 

The first phase of our safe segregated cycle route on Carlton Road is complete! Thank you for your patience as we've completed these works. In the future, we hope to bid for and win more funding to extend this scheme.

We plan to next begin work on a quiet route along Windmill Lane and we'll update you on those plans soon.

Greener is good for business!

Join over 150 business in Nottingham that have benefited from a Workplace Travel Grant!

Grab yourself up to £25,000 of sustainable transport support by introducing electric vehicle charging points, cycle shelters, shower/changing rooms for cyclists, pool e-bikes and eCargo bikes into your workplace. Nottingham businesses, public and voluntary sector organisations within the city boundary can apply.

It’s now or never! Grants end 31 December 2023.

Work has begun on a new safe segregated cycle route on St Ann's Well Road

Works have begun on the new safe, segregated cycle route on St Ann's Well Road. Thanks to everyone who gave their feedback on the consultation earlier this spring. 

These works should cause minimal disruption and are expected to run until spring 2024 - we'll keep you updated via the website, social media and our emails.

FREE event this Saturday

Come and join Nottingham City Council's Parks team for a fun filled afternoon on Victoria Embankment, this year we’re hosting FREE healthy activities for people of all ages.

Fancy some light exercise and mindful movement? 🛹⚽️🏏🧘‍♀️

Various activities and games will be available throughout the day based on the Meadows Recreation Ground at Victoria Embankment (close to the 1881 Café) however some activities are limited so require booking, please do it here.

Summer school holidays are almost here! Get around for less this summer

Get the latest on group travel offers from Nottingham City Transport, NET tram and Trentbarton in our blog post. 

Don't forget, it's possible to use the tram and NCT group tickets either with or without up to three children - if you're travelling just with another adult and making multiple journeys, a group ticket may still be your best bet rather than individual tickets.
