Support Health Care for Immigrant Families
Dear John,
With summer in full swing and school starting soon in many parts of the country, we’ve got good news to share about upcoming legislation and resources you can use to raise awareness of and improve access to safety net programs. As always, please contact us with questions or ideas. Meanwhile, don’t forget that PIF still has two sign-on letters open (one to support the LIFT the BAR Act, and one to protect the Biden public charge rule). Please sign on if you haven’t already!

Resource: Help Families Get the Food they Need This Summer
Our partners at Share Our Strength have launched a new Share Summer campaign, aimed at helping families with children get the food they need. Encourage the families you work with to visit NoKidHungry.org/WhatsApp [[link removed]] . They’ll get a customized WhatsApp message listing sites in their communities serving free meals for teens and kids under 18 – no registration needed, no questions asked, and no immigration consequences. Click below for a bilingual (English and Spanish) toolkit you can use to spread the word. As you use it on social media, please add our #ProtectFamilies tag when possible.

Partner Spotlight: North Carolina Coalition’s Public Charge Outreach
PIF has designed many of our education and outreach materials to be customizable for partners’ local needs. PIF Partners in North Carolina created exciting, vibrant outreach graphics about the new public charge rule, using local images and simple messages to catch community members’ attention. Through in-person events, digital outreach, and virtual sessions, the coalition reached over 12,000 North Carolinians!
You can create your customized version of PIF’s social media graphics, presentation materials, fact sheets, using the button below.
