Hands Off My Rewards
Protect Popular Credit Card Rewards Programs!
Say goodbye to your favorite credit card rewards.
Big-box retailers are teaming up with their allies in Congress to try and pass legislation (S. 1838/H.R. 3881) that would eliminate credit card rewards programs as we know them.
Their legislation would enable big-box retailers, like Walmart and Target, to process credit card transactions based solely on what is cheapest for retailers, without considering the value consumers and small businesses derive from rewards and other benefits.
If passed, this legislation would add billions of dollars to the bottom lines of mega-retailers every year, while eliminating the funding that supports popular credit card rewards programs.
Imagine a world without cash back, travel points, or other valuable credit card rewards that help low- and middle-income consumers save money.
If you love your credit card rewards, tell your lawmakers, “HANDS OFF MY REWARDS!” Tell them to oppose credit card routing legislation!;
