'Victory': Louisiana Overrides Dem Governor's Veto to Protect Minors from Transgender Surgeries |

Louisiana has become the 20th state to protect minors from irreversible transgender procedures including surgeries and cross-sex hormone injections, over the veto of its Democratic governor. Members of the state legislature assembled in a special veto override session in Baton Rouge Tuesday to pass the Stop Harming Our Kids Act (H.B. 648), which prevents surgical or chemical conversion therapy to create an underage person's gender identity that is "inconsistent with the minor's sex." |

Defense Dept. Spokesman: Funding Abortion Is 'Foundational Sacred Obligation' |

Pentagon Spokesman John Kirby on Monday called paying for abortions a "foundational, sacred obligation of military leaders," throwing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies and paying for gender reassignment surgeries in the same category. The remarks were obviously rehearsed and formed part of a three-minute response to a reporter's question, "Why is the new DOD [Department of Defense] policy on abortion critical to military readiness?" Kirby's speech never answered that question, but it does provide insight into the worldview motivating the DOD to persist in illegally funding abortions against all common sense. |

With a little over 20 days left on the board, both sides are burning up the Ohio airwaves, desperate to win over voters on the hottest election topic of 2023: Issue 1. For weeks, the Left has been blanketing the state with apocalyptic messages about the amendment that would make it harder to change the Buckeyes' constitution. One editorial writer, the only one to have a pro-Issue 1 story published this year in Cleveland's biggest newspaper (compared to 36 opposed), said he can't blame readers for "concluding that Issue 1's passage would mean the end of democracy in our state, the draining of Lake Erie, plagues of frogs, flies, and mosquitoes, and quite likely an unbroken string of Ohio States losses to Michigan ..." |
