John, Donald Trump just had an exclusive sit-down interview with Fox News — and once again, he devoted a major part of his campaign pitch to attacking me:
Trump: “Adam Schiff, he’s a sick person.”
Bartiromo: “But he may become a senator.”
Trump: “He may become, isn’t that a crazy thing? Well, maybe not, he’s running against some people that are much better than him. He’s a sick person…he ought to be prosecuted for what he did.”
One thing is clear — Donald Trump does not want me in the Senate. I’m not surprised — he and his enablers think I have been too effective in pushing back against wannabe dictators like him. And his continued calls for my prosecution and imprisonment show just how afraid he is of accountability. As our campaign has gained more and more momentum, the attacks from him and his followers have become more strident, and they are only going to get worse as we get closer to Election Day.

It wasn’t enough for Kevin McCarthy to kick me off the Intelligence Committee.
