John, we are an increasingly diverse and multicultural nation – and that's something that should be celebrated and protected at all costs. But in a devastating blow, the conservative Supreme Court has single-handedly destroyed one of our most effective inclusivity policies: Affirmative action.

Affirmative action has been instrumental in creating diverse leadership. That's why Emerge is committed to recruiting and training Democratic women who will fight to protect progressive policies and ensure our colleges and universities remain diverse and inclusive – we’ve partnered with the Daily Kos and we're calling on you to join us.

Everyone, regardless of race, gender, or national origin, should have an equal opportunity to succeed – and affirmative action got us one step closer to achieving that goal.

But from the beginning, the far-right was eager to see this policy overturned – because they have always despised attempts to level the playing field. And now, after 60 years of attacks rooted in right-wing disinformation, conservatives finally got their way and brought about the end to affirmative action.

The loss of affirmative action is devastating to say the least – but this isn't the end. We refuse to let our nation slip back into a less inclusive and less equitable society – and that's why we're fighting to protect policies that ensure access to opportunity for ALL - not just the wealthy.
