Last week, extremist House Republicans turned the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into another partisan ploy to force their extreme agenda onto the American people.

Members of the Freedom Caucus tacked on harmful amendments which eliminate diversity programs, harshly limit abortion access, and cut health coverage for military personnel. All at a time when military recruitment is at a crossroads.

This NDAA is a direct affront to servicemembers. I did not vote for this extreme bill because it does the exact opposite of what Congress is supposed to do.

I stand with our armed forces, and I’m ready to pass a non-partisan NDAA that supports all Americans. If you’re with me, add your name here:

Our women in uniform put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country, and they should have access to the health care they need without question – including abortions. The GOP is disincentivizing half of all Americans from joining our armed forces and it will not stand.

This dangerous bill is nothing more than another thinly-veiled attack in extremists’ ongoing culture war. Instead of upholding national security and honoring the service of our armed forces, the GOP has chosen a blatant partisan ploy.

We must do better. If you agree that we need a non-partisan NDAA that supports all Americans, add your name with mine right away.
