Every year, Jason and House Democrats have negotiated a bipartisan defense bill that protects our nation and supports our troops.

Republicans chose a different path.

Just days ago, the far-right fringe of the Republican Party used the defense bill to add outlandish, partisan amendments like restricting abortion access for our servicemembers and banning books and critical race theory.

This is extreme and misguided.

The bill was supposed to be bipartisan. Instead, Kevin McCarthy capitulated and let extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene go buck wild with their demands. We cannot let these attacks go unnoticed.
