Great news:

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) just approved the FIRST
over-the-counter birth control pill for nonprescription use in the United
States.

After years of fighting to make birth control more accessible — and
countless attacks on reproductive health care since the fall of Roe v.
Wade last year — this is a historic step to ensure anyone who decides to
take an oral contraceptive can get one off the shelf at their local
pharmacy.

But the work to ensure access isn’t over yet. Now, we need Congress to
pass my Affordability is Access Act — legislation I introduced with
Senator Patty Murray and Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ami
Bera — that would require insurance companies to fully cover this
FDA-approved over-the-counter birth control without any fees or
out-of-pocket costs.

[ [link removed] ]It’s time to make birth control free and accessible for people across
the country. Help us keep up the fight to make this possible by chipping
in $3 today.

Every contribution supports our work to defend bodily autonomy and advance
reproductive freedom. Thank you for being part of our movement to protect
and expand the fundamental right to reproductive healthcare for everyone.
