I wanted to share this exciting update from our friends at the Floridians Protecting Freedom campaign. Thanks to the outpouring of support and dedication from pro-choice Floridians like you, they have reached a significant milestone in just two short months since the campaign's launch: 300,000 petitions have been collected to put a constitutional amendment protecting access to abortion on the Florida ballot in 2024.
This is an incredible achievement, but we need nearly one million petitions in order to qualify for the ballot. If you believe that everyone deserves the freedom to make their own personal health care decisions — including abortion — without interference from politicians, I encourage you to get involved and help put abortion on the ballot. The only way to ensure Florida is no longer subjected to abortion bans, like the current 15-week and soon to be implemented 6-week ban, is by getting this amendment on the ballot and supporting Democratic pro-choice women.
