Good morning, and welcome to our weekly digest of current volunteer legal projects.

We are so excited to announce that Sara Wilson (Wilson) has joined the We The Action team as the new Associate Director, Engagement & Recruiting, and will be focusing on strategically growing our volunteer community.

We have over 80 legal projects that need your help:

	1—5 HOURS Help Black-Led Nonprofits File for 501(c)(3) Status Black Voters Matter Black-led nonprofits — mostly based in Southern states — need help understanding and navigating the process of incorporating as a 501(c)(3) organization. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers may be barred in any state.
	1—5 HOURS Help Lawyers Support the Community with Resources on GA Election Laws The Carter Center Assist with updating a condensed version of Georgia election laws to support law students and practitioners by including changes in the law over 2023-2024. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers may be barred in any state. Law students are welcome to volunteer.

This Thursday, 7/20/23, we will be hosting a website demonstration at 6pm ET. This will be a quick demo of the website’s user features, and there will be time for questions. Register here.
