A couple weeks ago, Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom, the coalition working to codify abortion rights in the Ohio constitution, turned in an astounding 700,000+ citizen signatures, way more than the approximately 413,000 they needed to get the measure on the ballot in November. 

 

Here’s what Kellie Copeland, the Executive Director of Pro-Choice Ohio said to Dan Pfeiffer on Pod Save America about that moment: 
“We had people from literally every corner of the state pounding on the door saying ‘I want to sign, I want to sign.’ And when we delivered those boxes on July 5th, there were 442 boxes, and when I saw them being unloaded from the truck, and all of those people who were standing with us, my heart almost exploded, because I know those boxes are filled with love, and with hope, and with determination that we can do this.” 
Pro-choice majorities in red states – even when faced with every dirty trick Republicans can think of– are not backing down.
