John,

We’ll cut right to the chase. June 2023 was the hottest June ever recorded in our history. According to lead scientists at Berkeley Earth, an environmental data analysis group, we can expect these temperature records to be broken over and over again in the next six weeks.

This heat has innumerable effects on our planet. Melting sea ice, massive wildfires, heat domes, warmer waters, and increased risks of heat stroke around the world is just the beginning . These record temperatures are a sign that our planet is teetering on the edge of being too far gone to be saved from the damage that greenhouse gasses and human-caused climate change has wrought upon it. We need to take action now to start trying to pull the planet back from that edge. [[link removed]]
