Friend, we don’t need to tell you that we’re in the midst of an extreme heat wave — all you have to do is go outside or check the thermostat.

Currently, over 100 million Americans are currently under excessive heat warnings or advisories. Scientists are warning that 2023 could be the hottest year on record. And given rising global temperatures, this could end up being one of the cooler summers in your lifetime.

Extreme heat is one of the deadliest consequences of the climate crisis, and as the temperature creeps up so too does the risk it poses to us all.
