Climate change continues to impact our world and our journalism. In August, you'll get a chance to hear from leading experts and network with other journalists who are invested in telling accurate, impactful stories about the evolving nature of our shifting climate.
And it's free — thanks to support from our sponsor and teaching partner, RAND Corporation, a nonprofit, nonpartisan global research organization that tackles the world’s toughest problems.
This one-day, in-person workshop hosted at RAND in Arlington, Virginia, will give journalists access to and information from some of the nation’s leading climate change analysts using the most reliable and scientifically accurate information available today.
The sessions will include lectures and group discussions led by Poynter faculty, as well as breakout sessions and opportunities to connect one-on-one with RAND policy experts.
This is your chance to dig into all things carbon: evaluate the latest research, review new technology being used to reduce emissions and assess federal decarbonization policy.
Lunch, coffee and snacks will be provided.
Please note: There is no virtual component to this training — you have to be able to attend in person in Arlington, Virginia.
Register here for this upcoming training ([link removed]) , and read on for more opportunities to advance your skills.
