NAFCU Vice President of Legislative Affairs Brad Thaler wrote to the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Monetary Policy ahead of its hearing today examining financial institutions’ risk management frameworks and the role financial regulators play in climate-related financial risks. NCUA Deputy Executive Director Rendell Jones is scheduled to testify at the hearing along with representatives from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Federal Reserve and other regulators.
NAFCU member credit unions today will receive the association’s annual survey that informs its Report on Credit Unions. Credit unions are encouraged to complete the 2023 survey and share feedback on key issues in support of the association’s advocacy strategy; responses are due Aug. 9.
