By now, I’m sure you’ve already been made aware: A wealthy Silicon Valley tech executive and self-funder entered the race hoping to buy this seat. And on top of that, political experts are already predicting this could be the most expensive Senate primary in our nation's history. 

But I'm not worried. I don't need to raise the most money in this race – I just need to raise enough to spread my progressive message across the state and win. Because with recent polling showing that this race is a near-statistical TIE among likely voters, victory is well within our reach.

That is why every fundraising deadline is so important. These next few months will be absolutely critical to the success of this campaign, and I need to make sure I have the resources needed to reach voters and take on any new challenges I may face on the road to Election Day.

Believe me, I know this team is already working incredibly hard on this race, and with your help in the past, we raised nearly $1 million in a single month. I’m incredibly grateful for your support and everything you've done thus far, John. But with just a few hours until my midnight fundraising deadline, I'm falling short of my $30,000 goal.
