Our shared mission at Special Olympics is centered around inclusion. But how does a big movement to include and build a better future start? Well, it starts small –– one person at a time. 

It starts with our founder, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, in a backyard where she hosted a summer camp for people with intellectual disabilities (ID). It starts with the smile of a Special Olympics athlete who just scored the game-winning goal. It starts with incredible supporters just like you,  saying ‘no’ to fear and discrimination and ‘YES!’ to creating a world where everyone is accepted.

So far, over 125,000 have signed our Inclusion Pledge, and with support like that, we’ve changed the lives of millions of people with ID. But, there is still so much more to do to build acceptance. Commit to that vision today by adding your name to our Inclusion Pledge!
