Dear John,

On Friday, July 14th, the House of Representatives passed one of the strongest National Defense Reauthorization Acts (NDAA) in years. For the past two years, the Biden administration has treated the military as a social experiment, injecting abortion and radical ideology into military regulations and funding. Most House Republicans, joined by a handful of Democrats, voted last week to end the experimentation.

Click here to tell your senators to join the House in returning the military from woke weakness to strategic strength!

Family Research Council noted several positive amendments in the House NDAA:

* Jackson Amendment #5: Prohibits the secretary of Defense from paying for or reimbursing expenses related to abortion (this is the amendment version of H.R. 1297).
* Norman Amendment #33: Prohibits the flying of unapproved flags, continuing a previous policy to prevent the politicization and polarization of the military, which undermines military readiness, lethality, and unit cohesion.
* Boebert Amendment #35: Prohibits Department of Defense schools from subjecting children to pornographic and radical gender ideology books.
* Rosendale Amendment #10: Protects taxpayers by prohibiting TRICARE from covering and the Department of Defense from furnishing gender transition procedures.
* Norman Amendment #20: Protects taxpayers by prohibiting the funding of gender transition procedures through the Exceptional Family Member Program.
* Roy Amendment #30: Amends Section 904 to prohibit federal funds from being used to establish a position within the Department of Defense for anything similar to Chief Diversity Officers or Senior Advisors for Diversity and Inclusion.
* Norman Amendment #33: Eliminates any offices of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion along with the personnel in said offices within the offices of the Armed Forces and Department of Defense.
* Gaetz Amendment #52: Prohibits federal funds for training on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* Burlison Amendment #62: Prohibits the Department of Defense from establishing new DEI administrator positions and/or taking actions to fill vacancies in currently existing DEI billets.
* Norman Amendment #34: Codifies Trump administration guidance to prohibit the display of unapproved flags.
* Hageman Amendment #49: Requires that all documents and correspondence of the Countering Extremism Working Group are provided to the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government and the Committee on Armed Services.

Tell your senators to join the House of Representatives in voting for this commonsense bill!

Sincerely,

Quena Gonzalez
