Friend,
This is a critical week for the pro-democracy protest movement in Israel
and the US. While Prime Minister Netanyahu and his far-right allies
continue to push through their dreaded judicial overhaul, Israel’s
President Herzog is set to land in the US, where he’ll meet with President
Biden and address a joint session in Congress.
Stand with our friends at UnXeptable, the Israeli-American-led
pro-democracy group, this Wednesday, July 19 at 9am outside the US
Capitol. The rally will spotlight dangers to Israeli democracy and welcome
President Herzog.

the tens of thousands of Israelis taking to the streets week after week,
demanding Netanyahu roll back his anti-democratic onslaught.

At J Street, we proudly stand in solidarity with courageous pro-democracy
protestors at home and abroad.
We hope you'll join the UnXeptable rally on Wednesday. Together, we can
show both American and Israeli officials that our communities back strong
leadership to defend democracy and confront the dangerous far-right
agenda.
Thank you for being part of the pro-Israel, pro-democracy, pro-peace
movement,
Tamar Ariel

J Street is the political home for pro-Israel, pro-peace, pro-democracy
Americans who want Israel to be secure, democratic and the national home of the
Jewish people. Working in American politics and the Jewish community, we
advocate policies that advance shared US and Israeli interests as well as Jewish
and democratic values, leading to a two-state solution to the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
