Friend,
The United States has one of the lowest voter turnout rates among developed countries in the world. That’s unacceptable.
Voting is our right and our duty. But it’s not always easy. Too often, people face long lines, crowded and under-staffed polling locations, and struggle to juggle voting with daily responsibilities like work, school, childcare, and care taking.
The solution is simple. It’s time to make Election Day a federal holiday.
An Election Day holiday is not just about making a stronger and more inclusive democracy. It’s about celebrating what makes our country great. Not just our elected leaders, past and present, but the everyday people -- from the Revolutionary War to the Civil Rights movement -- who fought for and won the right to vote.
Sign here to support Election Day as a federal holiday.
In Solidarity,
