Folks,
Right now, abortion in Virginia is legal up to 26 weeks, and even later if the pregnant person’s life is at risk. The Commonwealth is the only Southern state that hasn’t banned or rolled back abortion rights since Roe was overturned.
But this freedom hinges on this year’s election, where our entire state legislature is on the ballot. And right now, GOP candidates are united around a 15-week abortion ban.
I’m determined to put a stop to their draconian ban by making sure Democrats win their races to hold on to the Virginia Senate and take back the House of Delegates. Can you chip in $5 before our mid-month deadline to fuel my work to elect pro-choice Democrats to the General Assembly?
After Roe v. Wade was overturned, I read one too many devastating stories about the impact it had on women in Virginia and around the country. Doctors having to consult lawyers before providing abortions to women in dire health conditions. Women fleeing to other states to receive life-saving care, paralyzed with fear of the repercussions they’d face.
This is unacceptable. If we want to protect access to reproductive health care in Virginia, we need to stop the GOP from taking over the General Assembly.
Donate today to help my team and I do whatever it takes to turn Virginia blue so we can protect abortion access in the Commonwealth >>
Thank you,
Mark Warner
