George Santos compared himself to Rosa Parks last week–a comparison so insulting that Rhea McCauley, Rosa Parks’s niece, called him out, saying it was “totally inappropriate for Santos to compare himself to my aunt.”

McAuley also said that she and her family are “ticked off” that Santos mentioned her aunt:

“Rosa Parks was fighting against segregation, while Santos seems to be airing out a petty feud between himself and another politician. —Rhee McAuley, Rosa Parks’ niece

Here’s the deal: Rosa Parks is a hero of the civil rights movement. Santos is an embarrassment and a disgrace to the people of New York and the U.S. House of Representatives.
