The Democratic Socialists of America, Los Angeles (DSA-LA) endorses Vermont Senator, Bernie Sanders for the Presidency of the United States.

We're also proud to announce the formation of our new DSA-LA for Bernie 2020 Campaign Working Group, which will dedicate itself to securing Senator Sanders' victory in the California democratic primary and the presidential election.

Our endorsement, and the launch of our Bernie 2020 campaign, come at the close of a chapter-wide vote on a proposal submitted by a group of over 30 of our comrades.

After a week of voting, at 11:59 p.m. PST last night, our chapter had cast 250 votes on the proposal. 214 comrades, or 85.6% of respondents voted in favor. 29 comrades (11.6% of respondents) voted against, while 7 (2.7%) abstained.

We are thrilled to start organizing toward a Sanders victory, not just in Los Angeles,  but in California, and the wider U.S., today. We're excited, in the words of the proposal, for DSA-LA to become the, "go to group for Angelenos looking to support the Sanders campaign, and build stronger coalitions for unions, Labor for Bernie, and political groups that oppose the centrist candidates." We look forward to hitting streets throughout Los Angeles County and to helping grow our working class base through day to day canvassing and other large scale efforts. 

We have a world to win. We plan to win it.
