Friends, I’ll keep this short, but it has to be said:
The Supreme Court has lost the faith of the American people.
From the absolutely gutting Dobbs decision that we’ve spent a year grappling with to the slate of deeply disturbing decisions just this month, I know a lot of folks are reeling and scared for what all this means for our future.
We need significant, structural reform to restore the legitimacy of the Court, and to restore faith in our democracy.
Add your name to my petition now if you agree that it’s time to reform the Supreme Court.
In a country that thrives on checks and balances, it’s important to say that our lack of faith in the Court doesn’t come from disagreeing with their decisions (though that’s certainly a horrific byproduct) - it’s that the Court itself is steeped in corruption and ethics violations.
From Clarence Thomas to Brett Kavanaugh, there are too many questions left unanswered - about who funds their vacations, who sends them gifts, who pays off their debts, and more - and no one but Congress is willing to hold them accountable. Our Court is supposed to be free from undue political influence, but it’s painfully clear that’s no longer the case.
If you agree that it’s time to take action on this, please sign my petition today demanding a serious look at judicial reform.
Thanks for your support.
