John,

It's an utter shame that millions of children are living in poverty in one of the wealthiest countries in the world. In California alone, 50% of residents live one paycheck away from poverty – many of whom are children.

That's why, back in 2021, I played a key leadership role in passing the Child Tax Credit, which ultimately reduced child poverty by 46%. Now that Republicans have let the policy expire, I'm fighting to restore it.

You can count on me to continue fighting economic injustice every day if I'm elected to the U.S. Senate. Will you donate $5 now to support my campaign and build a more progressive future for all?

I'm the co-chair of the Majority Leader Task Force on Poverty and Opportunity, and I've been working to address economic injustice throughout my career because I know how hard it can be for working families to make ends meet.

I know what it's like to struggle to keep the lights on and the kids fed. That's why I'm fighting for a government that supports working families – not just the richest amongst us.

And I promise, if I make it to the Senate, I'll be a voice for the families across this country who just need a little support to get back on their feet. But the thing is, a new poll of informed voters shows this race is a near-statistical tie – so I urgently need to reach more voters so I can finally pull ahead in the polls.

That's why I'm asking: Will you donate $5 – or whatever you can spare today – to help me win this primary and continue fighting economic injustice?

Thank you so much,
