Sincerely/Atentamente, María Elvira Salazar U.S. Representative (FL-27) POTENTIAL FRAUD AT THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION This week, I joined my colleagues on the House Small Business Committee in a hearing to examine why the Inspector General of the Small Business Administration (SBA) found $200 billion in potentially fraudulent pandemic-related loans, while Administrator Guzman finds only $36 billion. Worse yet, when we invited her to explain this MAJOR discrepancy, she didn’t even show up! Chairman Williams and I are working hard to make sure American taxpayer dollars are being spent wisely, and not wasted (and covered up!) Watch my remarks from the hearing HERE! DEFENDING ALL OF OUR SOUTH FLORIDA VETERANS I was proud to reintroduce a bipartisan bill to allow all veterans, including those who serve our country valiantly as noncitizens, the dignity to live in the United States free of fear of deportation. The bill would also streamline the naturalization process for those veterans. One thing is clear to me: If you put your life and family on the line in service to our great nation, you deserve to live in dignity. That’s it.
