Friend, a lot has happened over the past few months in the fight to prove that nobody — including former president Donald Trump — is above the law.
First, a grand jury of everyday Americans reviewed mountains of evidence and indicted Trump in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s investigation for illegally concealing hush money payments to an adult film actor.
Then he was indicted again — this time for his shocking mishandling of highly classified documents once he was out of office.
If Trump committed these crimes, he should be held accountable just like you or I would be. And two investigations even more critical for the future of our democracy are still ongoing!
Department of Justice Special Counsel Jack Smith is still investigating the 2020 “fake electors” scheme, where Trump and his allies conspired to find people willing to ignore that President Biden won their state and to cast their electoral votes for Trump instead.
And Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis is still investigating Trump’s pressure campaign on Georgia officials to “find” the exact number of votes he needed to flip the state.
