Friends, I know it’s Sunday, a day a lot of people use to rest and spend time with their loved ones. I try to do the same, so I don’t typically like to email you. But I needed to reach out today with an important request.

Tonight at midnight my team and I face our July mid-month fundraising deadline, and we are pacing behind our projected goal. At this point in the month, we should be 30% to our goal , but in all transparency, we are only 16% there.

This news is alarming for my team and me. Sure we have half of the month left to make up lost ground, but the truth is our campaign relies on folks like you, contributing what you can when you can, not corporations or special interests. So we have no option but to make steady progress on our goal every single day.

We can’t afford to continue pacing behind our goals. We risk losing critical resources that help us run the day-to-day of my reelection campaign.

So I am reaching out today, on a Sunday, to ask:
