She grew up to be the second woman in U.S. history to become a Governor and then a Senator.
She also grew up to be the FIRST woman in history to become a Governor, a Senator, and a candidate who had to take on campaign debt in order to defeat an election denier.
But that IS what happened. Pundits moved our race to a toss-up, polls were within the margin of error, and I was getting calls from other Senators concerned that we couldn’t win.
It's already July and my campaign is STILL paying those bills down. That’s okay - I’m so glad that thanks to our campaign’s decision, Democrats won in New Hampshire and held the Senate majority. But, John, we REALLY need to put 2022 to bed.
