A PERSONAL NOTE

Good morning, friends! I hope this beautiful Sunday finds you well. We're expecting it to be clear and HOT. I love the clear, but I'm not a fan of the hot part. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older or what, but I sure can't handle heat like I once could. Because I walk for transportation, that makes the heat even more unpleasant.

When I was a little girl growing up in the South, I played softball all summer long. Our games were in the evening, after 6 pm. I remember thinking that my dad was SO MEAN because if it was over 100 degrees, he wouldn't allow me to play. Now, of course, that I'm an adult and i understand heat stroke and the like, I get it, but then? I didn't care how hot it was. I just wanted to be out on that field. Also, now, I kind of wonder if he just didn't want to go and sit outside in hundred-degree weather. 🤣 Let's be honest. That's also legitimate.

Things are pretty tense in the world right now. Economic strife. Racial and religious tension. Political corruption. Culture wars. So much hate all around. I think that means it's more important than ever to focus on positive things. This doesn't mean you should forget about prepping - indeed, I don't think it's ever been more important in my lifetime. But what I mean is that you need to take the happy moments while you can. Enjoy spending time with loved ones. Watch a movie. Play a game. Go to the beach. Wade in the creek. It doesn't have to be an elaborate amusement park vacation (though there's nothing wrong with that). Just connect with the people you love, connect with nature, and connect with living.  Remind yourself how good life is, and step away from all the rage. It'll do you good.

I hope you have a fantastic week.

In this quickstart PDF guide, we’re going to discuss the incredibly important but unsexy topic of sanitation. This book is not designed to get you through a ten-year apocalypse, though if you expand some of these principles, you can apply them to longer-term emergencies. Instead, this is about managing matters of hygiene, cleanliness, waste, and water during a temporary period when services are not working.

It's not exciting, but it's a lifesaving topic.
