In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make one more contribution to our campaign. Please give me a chance to explain why this request — especially today — is make or break for our campaign.

Here is the truth:

The next two weeks are the most important of the campaign. That is no exaggeration. It’s just a fact.

In the next two weeks, we have Nevada, South Carolina, an FEC fundraising deadline AND we’ll have finished all of our Super Tuesday spending.

Obviously that’s important, because after Super Tuesday we may have a presumptive nominee. Hopefully Bernie.

But right now we are getting outspent. Badly. We’re doing all right against other non-billionaire campaigns, but when you throw in the three super PACs spending to stop us, and maybe more coming, it’s a lot to keep up with. It’s been difficult, honestly.

And that is why we ask — because these emails are our only chance to fund a campaign that can win. So here’s the part where I ask:

Can you please make a contribution to our campaign today? We need the help and we’ll put it right to work funding a campaign that can win this nomination.

There is no doubt about it — we send a lot of emails. But please know these messages are not only a small price to pay for a president who isn’t beholden to the wealthy and powerful, but this is how this campaign raises its money.
