Washington Republicans have coalesced around Dave Reichert in the past week or two. It’s not surprising. He is a Republican through and through who voted with Donald Trump 92.5% of the time. What is surprising is that Reichert is trying to distance himself from his record.
While there is always room to come together across party lines and solve a problem, there are some issues that Hilary believes we should never compromise on.
An issue Hilary will never compromise on is access to reproductive healthcare. It’s non-negotiable. Dave Reichert is anti-abortion, and as national Republican groups attempt to pass increasingly strict federal abortion laws, we need a leader willing to fight for abortion access. Dave Reichert is not the leader Washington needs.
