John,

I have spent my entire life fighting for the working people of America. Even back when I was a private attorney, no case was more important to me than those that impacted the middle class and working families.

That’s why I am so happy to share with you that last week we passed The Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO Act) in the House.

I support the PRO Act because I believe our economy is stronger when our workers are stronger. And this bill will make American workers stronger -- a lot stronger.

This legislation enables working people to stand together by making it easier to form a union, and harder for union-busting Republicans to weaken or dismantle them completely. The PRO Act will go a long way to putting everyday Americans ahead of big business and corporations.

Not surprisingly, though, monied special interests with deep pockets came out strongly against the PRO Act. Now there’s a target on the back of every pro-worker Congressman who voted for this bill, including me, John.

I am free to fight for everyday Americans in Congress because I rely on everyday Americans to power my campaigns -- not corporate special interests. Will you consider making a $10 or $20 grassroots contribution so that I can win re-election in this swing district, and keep up the fight for workers in 2020 and beyond? [[link removed]]

Thank you,
Matt
