[[link removed]]FRIEND,
We'll cut right to it. Yesterday, we fell short of our crucial World Orca Day goal. But we can't afford to give up on our efforts to save the last Southern
Resident orcas, so there's no other choice: We just extended our matching gift opportunity: your gift today will be matched dollar for dollar up to our $90,000 goal, but
only until 11:59 p.m. TONIGHT to fight back against Big Oil and Big Shipping,
save our orcas and protect our Earth!

WORLD ORCA DAY GOAL: FELL SHORT
SUPPORTERS FROM YOUR AREA NEEDED: 3
DOUBLE YOUR GIFT FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS
[[link removed]]Here's what we're up against: First, the Roberts Bank T2 shipping terminal would
cause severe destruction to these orcas' natural habitats and migration routes
by bringing in an exponential boom in shipping traffic. The noise pollution caused by this traffic alone would be devastating to their
survival -- drowning out their sonar signals and disrupting their ability to
communicate, avoid deadly collisions with ships and find the scarce Chinook
salmon they depend on for food.
If that wasn't harmful enough, Big Oil is trying to EXPAND the Trans Mountain Pipeline to carry up to 890,000
barrels per day of the world's dirtiest tar sand oil to massive tankers that
would plow through these whales’ delicate homes. This would mean a major increased threat of a devastating oil spill banging on the doors of Southern Resident orcas. Big Oil has proven time and again that they put
profit over everything, even vital ecosystems -- and we have to act to stop it
now before it’s too late.
The lives of these whales are hanging by a thread, and each of these projects
are poised to push them to total EXTINCTION. And beyond that, the ripple effects of Big Shipping and Big Oil's decisions
today will cause irreversible damage to the fragile ocean ecosystems that
support so much life on our planet.
We don't have a second to waste, so please, before our World Orca Day match
extension expires at MIDNIGHT TONIGHT: Will you make a membership donation of $27 or more right now while it can still
go towards our $90,000 goal to protect ocean habitats, help suffering orcas
recover, and ensure our planet thrives?
