John,
July is often a slow fundraising month for campaigns like ours. Families are on vacations, kids are out of school, and most people are far away from their emails and computers.
That means that we need to work extra hard to build up our grassroots support to continue powering our campaign and maintain our momentum. To keep pace with our July plans, we've set a goal to raise $7,500 by midnight tomorrow to boost our resources.
We need to be building support for our progressive values at every level possible, and that starts by building our power from the ground up. As a grassroots movement, we don't rely on massive corporate PACs or million dollar mega-donors to bankroll our campaigns because that kind of support comes at a cost.
I'm not willing to compromise on the key policies that our country deserves. We deserve a just economy, comprehensive and universal health care, honorable education systems, housing as a human right, and so much more.
Not only is Washington state gearing up for the August primary elections, but I'm keeping up the pressure in Washington D.C. to continue fighting for our values at the federal level to ensure that our progressive voices are heard.
