Dear John, I want to share this story from one of our longtime volunteers with you. Jodi is consistently amazed at the stories that Oregon State Fair attendees share with her every summer. Jodi has volunteered at the Oregon Right to Life Education Foundation (ORTLEF) state fair booth for four years. When asked why, she told us, “I first chose to volunteer because I believe in the mission and vision of ORTLEF in their passion for the sanctity of human life, specifically for the protection of the unborn.” At the booth, volunteers inform visitors about abortion and physician-assisted suicide issues in Oregon by handing out information and connecting with visitors. Volunteers often hear stories of abortion near-misses, past abortion-related pain, and the joys of adoption. Pro-choice people sometimes insult booth volunteers or try to dissuade others from visiting. It’s emotionally and mentally exhausting, but the work is worth it. “You will not be disappointed for standing up for life in this way,” says Jodi. Our presence at the state and county fairs throughout Oregon creates some of our best opportunities for pro-life advocates to gain experience and to raise awareness in our communities—crucial work for growing the pro-life movement in our state. John, would you make a financial gift to support our presence at the fair? Your donation helps us reach Oregonians and progress toward a pro-life future. Thank you for your support. Because everyone deserves an advocate, Makyra Williamson
