John, I have to be honest: Being Colin Allred's finance director is so much more than just a job to me. 

I'm a native Texan, born and raised in Houston – I went to school at the University of Texas (Hook ‘em Horns!) and am so proud to call our state home. But I'm sick of watching Ted Cruz put his selfish interests over families like mine.

So know that when I email you, it’s not just about doing my job. It's also because this Texan is sick and tired of Ted Cruz’s failed leadership and ready for a leader like Colin Allred to deliver real, positive change to my home state. 

If you’re just as passionate as I am about firing Ted Cruz, I hope you’ll consider pitching in a contribution before our mid-month deadline. I just ran the numbers, and we're still $156,871 short of our $250,000 mid-month goal. John, I know my fellow Texans are ready for change, and I know this race is winnable because experts from FiveThirtyEight to CNN agree that Ted Cruz is vulnerable. But I also know that we came within 2.6 points of taking him down in 2018, and in a race that close, resources truly make all the difference. That's why it's so important that we reach every single fundraising goal.
