Pray for the people living in Western Uganda where a terrorist attack killed 41 people, mostly students, in June. Pray for the communities who have suffered this terrible loss, and for their future protection and safety.
Latin America
Please pray for a Guatemalan survivor who will share her story with a Christian Canadian radio station. The radio will air sections of her story to illustrate the work that IJM is doing to combat violence against women and children in Guatemala. Please pray that God will bless the survivor with wisdom and clarity so that she can share her story in a compelling and inspiring way. Also, pray that God will move the hearts of the radio audience to support our work in Latin America.
South Asia
Ask God to open doors for survivor leaders to share their stories and advocate for change. IJM and our partners have helped equip an inspiring group of survivor leaders to speak up on issues that matter to them, so now we are looking for new opportunities to connect them with government officials and local corporations. Pray for exciting new venues for survivors to lead and rally others to the cause of ending bonded labor and human trafficking.
Asia Pacific
Please continue to pray for our IJM teams as they fight for all those trapped in Forced Scamming. This relatively new form of modern slavery involves individuals kept against their will, forced to manipulate others online for the sake of profit. Pray for the victims in several ongoing cases, that they would be safely removed from their situations and able to flourish in freedom. Please also pray for wisdom for our teams and partners on how best to address the needs of each individual.
