John,
Artis Ware grew up a poor South Carolina cotton farmer in the Great Depression. But he also lived long enough to see his grandson elected to the U.S. House and Senate. Here’s a picture of my grandfather:

He lived long enough to see his wildest dreams become a reality. Our family went from cotton to Congress in one lifetime!
When I was a kid, after my parents split, we moved in with my grandparents. Growing up so close with my grandfather is one of the greatest gifts I’ve been so blessed to receive. He taught me how to put my family first and what it means to achieve your American dream.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that I would not be running for President today if it hadn't been for men like Artis Ware.
I am dedicated to protecting and restoring the American Dream, but I won’t be able to do it alone. I’ll need your help.
I have another critical deadline tonight so I’m humbly asking if you could chip in just $5 to help me hit my goals before midnight.
Listen, I grew up with plastic spoons, not silver ones. It’s not easy for me to ask for money, and I wouldn’t do it if it weren’t so serious. |
My campaign relies on support from emails just like this one. Please consider giving just $5, so I can keep fighting to restore the American Dream and help put this great country that my grandfather loved so much back on track.
God Bless,
Tim Scott
