In November, Ayanna Pressley introduced the People’s Justice Guarantee and put forth a vision to completely transform and decarcerate our criminal legal system.

Our team pulled six policies from Ayanna Pressley’s People’s Justice Guarantee and we want to hear from you about what your priorities are when it comes to justice reform.

Our team wants to get your feedback on the following six policies and hear which ones you think we should be pushing for in the national conversation about justice reform:

1. Shift most first responder responsibilities from law enforcement to healthcare professionals and social workers whose expertise allows them to best solve the problem
2. Decriminalize possession of opioids and provide overdose prevention sites and no cost mental health and addiction treatment
3. Decriminalize homelessness and fully fund housing first programs to create a right to safe affordable housing
4. Decriminalize public transportation and fully fund zero fare transit
5. Fully restore and guarantee voting rights for every person including people who are incarcerated
6. Provide a meaningful opportunity for release after ten years for any offense
