John,

Brady’s End Family Fire program JUST launched a new campaign, “Safe Stories.”

Safe Stories is a multimedia campaign [[link removed]] and immersive digital experience that shares the real stories of seven people who contemplated taking their own life with a firearm. The effort encourages safe gun storage to prevent a moment of crisis from turning into a permanent tragedy.

The new End Family Fire PSA will run nationwide across digital outlets and on TV, accompanied by out-of-home placements — so make sure to be on the lookout. In the meantime, will you visit safestories.endfamilyfire.org to read these powerful stories? [[link removed]]

We created “Safe Stories” in partnership with the Ad Council and the media agency dentsu to address gun suicide at a time when rates have reached a record high. With the largest one-year increase in over 40 years, suicide accounts for more than half of all firearm deaths. In fact, in the U.S., 67 people a day die by gun suicide, more than those lost to firearm homicides and unintentional shootings combined.

We know that in a moment of crisis, having a firearm that is stored securely — locked, unloaded, and away from ammunition — provides critical moments that can prevent a fatal outcome. Through a combination of documentary-style video production and animation, these “Safe Stories” vividly showcase the life-saving role of safe gun storage.

This resource will help save countless lives, John. According to an Ad Council study, more than half of gun owners or adults in gun-owning households who are aware of the End Family Fire campaign report that they have taken steps to store their firearms more safely. So, simply by sharing, you can help prevent family fire and save lives. [[link removed]]
