John,
Yesterday, Summer called out the Director of Defense Contracts. She pointed out that the US military spends about $41.6 million dollars on Viagra each year.
That amount of money could help rebuild 2 bridges in Pennsylvania. Instead, money that could be used to help people in our state is being spent on drugs to help with impotence in the armed forces. What could rebuild roads is being wastefully spent on the recreational pursuits of the military.
This is an issue of priorities. Summer has her priorities straight: helping the people of Pennsylvania’s 12th Congressional District. By calling out wasteful defense spending, Summer is putting the spotlight on shady deals that benefit large corporations.
Summer’s only “clients” are the people who sent her to defend their interests in Congress: her constituents. Summer has never taken any corporate PAC money.
In solidarity,
Team Summer Lee
